Pastor J. Abede Alexandre is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, where in 1986, he obtained his Master of Theology and in 2011 he obtained his Doctor of Ministry degree. He is also a graduate of George Fox University, Portland, Oregon, where he obtained his Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology in 1989.In January 1990, he was recruited by Cambridge Hospital/Harvard Medical School, in Cambridge, MA, to complete his post-doctoral residency and worked at the Haitian Mental Health Clinic, in the Psychiatric Department. From 1990 to 1997, he conducted marital retreat, family conference, counseling training for pastors and lay leaders, as well as teaching and preaching at various churches in Massachusetts, New York, Florida, New Jersey, and Canada.

In November 1997, he founded Tabernacle Baptist Congregation (TBC) in collaboration with a group of believers. While serving as the Senior Pastor of TBC, he worked as a Psychologist for the City of Boston/Boston Public Schools. He retired from BPS in December 2018, after 29 years of service to devote his life to full-time ministry. In 2013, he published his first book, “Marital Happiness Is a Choice” He’s been married to his lovely wife and ministerial partner for almost 34 years. They are the proud parents of 2 adult sons: Jean Abede II and Jonathan Michel and his wife Renee.

He is pursuing a doctoral degree in Psychoanalysis (Psya.D) in Society and Culture at Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis (BGSP).
He works at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary as “Adjunct Professor of Counseling." He assists Christians in Christian Counseling and Crisis InterventionHe and his wife, sister Carla lead a study tour to ISRAEL and ASIA MINOR He speaks to a variety of audiences both nationally and internationally, including youth groups, young adults, marriage and family retreats, leadership and Bible conferences.He is married to Myrta, Alaïda (the woman of my dream), (a.k.a sister Carla). They have two boys, Mischaël, Pierre Célestin and Jephthé, Nephthali Célestin. They live in Brockton, MA.
